Christian Savings is a not-for-profit entity, providing ethical and meaningful investments opportunities. The funds they provide assist in the building of churches, schools, social housing, early childhood centres,and facilities for other worthwhile community projects. Christian Savings is experiencing strong lending growth and are looking to appoint a Senior Lender to manage this side of the business.
We are seeking a Senior Lender to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time contract based in Penrose, Auckland. Strong lending and credit skills required for this key role within a leading institution for Christian Investments and lending.
Managing the credit assessment piece for all the loan applications in accordance with the company's credit risk policy.
Review and prepare recommendation reports for Management sign off.
Ensure appropriate levels of workload across the lending team.
Building strong client relationships with customers and wider stakeholders.
Assisting in improving the operations of the lending team by building systems and developing best practice processes.
Will have a banking or finance background with strong credit assessment skills ideally in the commercial or property sector.
Will be managing 3 direct reports sowill have demonstrated leadership skills.
Have a tertiary qualification in Commerce or Law.
Will display strong professional capability to assist churches and Christian entities. You will have great interpersonal skills, high work ethic and a great attitude.
Demonstrate alignment with the core values and mission of Christian Savings.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about the charitable sector, prior involvement with churches would be an advantage to understand how they and Christian charities operate. You may currently working in one of the retail banks and looking to step up and join an organisation where you can truly make a difference in the community and work with people who are really passionate about what they do.
