How it works

Residential Loans

Suitable for churches and Christian charities looking to build, purchase or renovate houses, manses, vicarages or social housing. We have a team of dedicated full time staff to assist organisations with everything from small loan requests to multimillion dollar loans.
Great rates for churches

We offer interest rates benchmarked to the rates of New Zealand’s largest banks. We offer a range of fixed and floating terms for residential properties.

We’re in it with you

We understand how churches work and are passionate about the greater cause of the local church. Our lending team will take the time to understand your needs and work to tailor our service to best achieve your goals and mission.

How much can I borrow?

Like a bank, we typically lend up to 80 percent of the valuation of a residential property. If a church or Christian charity owns other properties, these may be used as additional security, giving access to higher levels of credit.

Mortgages for individuals

Looking for personal mortgages?

Community Mortgages is a new social enterprise that is committed to providing you with the best mortgage, insurance deals and rates, all while giving back to charity.

In partnership with Christian Savings, Community Mortgages will donate 10% of the commission earned back to Christian Savings. Just mention you were referred by us.
"Nothing was too hard, documents were drawn up in record time, and even now [5 years on], servicing the mortgage or restructuring, nothing's a hassle, Christian Savings are always keen to help and eager to serve."
